From Conflict to Cuddles
6-Week Communication Course for Neurospicy Couples
Call for Beta Testers!!!
Currently seeking 3 to 5 couples to Beta test this 6-week e-course for Neurodiverse Couples!
I started out to make an e-course to distill the information I’ve found most useful for couples over the years. I noticed that there is a specific lack of resources for neurodiverse couples, and many of those resources are not created by experienced couples therapists. '“Neurospicy” (aka neurodiverse) couples deserve high-quality resources tailored to the unique ways our brains work, so I decided to create a course specifically for us! I started “From Conflict to Cuddles” to provide a resource for neurodiverse couples to improve connection and closeness in a 6-week online course. THE FIRST OFFERING of this course will be geared towards couples in which one or both members of the couples has ADD or ADHD. (Modules on Autism will be coming in the next version). If this is you and your partner, keep reading!
Curriculum:
Demystifying Couples Conflict with SCIENCE: Couples conflict is not random and unpredictable, though it may seem that way. Benefit from decades of research in the fields of Neuroscience and Attachment Psychology to understand how and why you and your partner get stuck.
Mapping Your Pattern - Are you a Turtle, a Hedgehog, or an Armadillo? You and your partner are unique in your awesomeness, and perhaps also in your challenges. Resources for neurotypical couples do not always translate to the neurodiverse landscape. Let’s map out the specific ways you and your partner get stuck. (The animals listed above will make sense when you jump in - and there will be ADORABLE cartoons!)
Neurospicy Combos: Strengths and Challenges of different relationship combos (ex. ADHD + Neurotypical, ADHD + ADHD), and a “look under the hood” of your partner’s brain if they are wired differently than you are.
Interrupting and Reshaping your Pattern: Let’s get you OUT of the painful pattern that is keeping you apart, and increase closeness and understanding.
Communication Hacks: Learn and practice my top 5 Communication strategies that have been helpful for neurodiverse couples over the years.
Equity in Household Tasks and Mental Load: As mundane as it may seem, I find that many neurodiverse couples struggle with feeling that household tasks and mental load are shared equally. Learn systematic strategies to improve this in your relationship.
7. FREE BONUS MODULE for Beta Testers: Put the SPICE in Neurospicy - Improving Sex and Intimacy.
Perks of for Beta Testers:
Voxer messaging with the instructor for content clarification, assistance if you get stuck, and providing of feedback.
Opportunity to guide the content and make requests from week to week.
Significantly reduced pricing - Beta version is $450 (Price will increase to $600 for the next version)
BONUS module on improving sex and intimacy. (You guys - this thing could be its OWN e-course! It’s informative, sexy, and FUN!)
Requirements for Beta Testers:
Couples interested in a 6-week course to improve connection and mutual-understanding.
Able to commit 1-1.5 hours a week viewing modules and completing activities together as a couple. First module launches on October 13th, and we’d want everyone to complete the course by December 1st.
Couples in which there is confirmed or suspected ADHD in one or more members of the couple. (Modules for Autism are coming in later versions - we’re only set up for ADHD at this time).
Interest in a scientific approach to learning - evolution, attachment psychology, and neuroscience are utilized to help illustrate concepts. This course would likely NOT be a good fit for couples who do not believe in evolution.
Willingness to provide feedback weekly to help guide the upcoming content.
This course is NOT a good fit if a couple is experiencing a lack of physical or emotional safety - If you are experiencing verbal, emotional, or physical abuse in your relationship, reach out to a local therapist to help. This course is also NOT a good fit for couples in the brink of divorce or with one or more members experiencing ambivalence about the future of the relationship.
